The Role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to be based on the company's offshore Fast LNG asset. This position may, from time to time, also require incumbents to work at the Houston Office location. As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be a self-starter with a solution-oriented mentality to help guide our team towards being a learning organization through defect elimination and continuous improvement.
Schedule: 21/21/ offshore rotation
What you will do:
- Embracing and encouraging a safety culture that results in Zero harm to people, the facility or the Company’s reputation.
- Be an integral part of the site leadership and support the development and execution strategies towards world class, safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations
- Supporting the development of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Procedures and ensuring its compliance
- Ensure continuous availability and high levels of equipment functionality and reliability to the facility
- Supervise, and Mentor a multi-disciplinary maintenance team including Planner/schedulers, Controls, Instrumentation, Electrical and Mechanical Technicians.
- Coordinate and assign all maintenance support services in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner
- Ensure that Work Orders are properly prioritized, permitted, and executed in a safe and effective manner
- Work collaboratively with discipline resources and support services to ensure understanding of tasks to be performed, risk awareness and permitting requirements
- Support the development and implementation of the spare parts evaluation and selection.
- Support Planning and Scheduling efforts to ensure safe and efficient use of personnel and other Company resources.
- Ensure high level of compliance to maintenance schedule with focus on equipment relative to safety, critical elements, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that maintenance backlogs are kept to target levels
- On-site lead for facility Turnarounds and outages
- Support activities among all regional facilities
- Support OIM in achieving stated goals and targets.
- Provide timely and accurate reports and updates to make visible performance levels, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Focus on continually improving maintenance execution efficiency, planning accuracy, and schedule attainment.
- Develop annual budgets for the facility maintenance program.
- Facilitate the planning and of all overhauls or significant maintenance interventions on the facility.
- Interface with onshore resources to ensure alignment with regional maintenance and reliability initiatives.
What you bring:
- Available to work offshore on a 21/21 rotation schedule on FLNG facilities
- 5+ years of experience at a Supervisory level or higher
- 7+ years experience with the surveillance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, removal and reinstatement of oil and gas equipment, preferable in LNG or other cryogenic facilities
- 5+ years hands on experience in a Maintenance discipline
- In depth knowledge regarding safety in the execution of maintenance activities.
- Experience in carrying out predictive maintenance techniques and initial evaluation
- Conversant with best practices for high availability of Power Management and electrical devices, process control devices, and fixed and rotating mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity codes and standards for fixed and floating offshore facilities will be a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Knowledge and experience in the development of CMMS Applications and maintaining high levels of compliance to Schedules, high quality execution of work and timely reporting
- Ability to lead and motivate maintenance craft as well as contract maintenance support personnel to create a culture of safety and excellence.
Work Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
- Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year-around weather conditions, ocean environment, and noise. There is a considerable number of outdoor activities involved.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Required to pass regularly scheduled physical examinations mandated by regulatory authorities.
- Required to obtain mandated certification by attending Company-sponsored training in basic first aid, CPR, AED & LNG firefighting.
